PSL 2020 Semi Finals , Battle of the Best

Pakistan Super League Season 5 has reached its business end as the knockout stage will begin tomorrow . Both Semi finals will be played tomorrow . In the first Semi Final Multan Sultans will take on Peshawar Zalmi at 2pm in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore . Multan Sultans is having its best season as they ended league stage as table toppers , whereas Peshawar Zalmi had a very mixed campaign , they qualified on the basis of NRR as Quetta and Peshawar were equal in terms of points . Multan Sultans team look quite balanced even though two of their main players , James Vince and Rilee Rossouw flew back due to corona virus outbreak but still their batting didn't got much affected due to it . Only weak point they are having is a quality pacer in their lineup . So far we have seen Ali Shafiq or Illyas being played in the lineup which proved to be a weak link , as now they have included Rohail Nazir in the XI as an emerging player so now they can go with a trio of Irfan , Junaid Khan and Sohail Tanvir in the XI . If they go with this pacers trio than their bowling lineup will have so much experience in likes of Afridi , Imran Tahir in the spin department and Junaid Khan , Sohail Tanvir and Irfan in pace department. Whereas in case of Peshawar Zalmi , their openers should click , if Kamran Akmal scores from the top than PZ can be in a much stronger position tomorrow

Karachi Kings have been outstanding this season as they ended league stage at 2nd position . Lahore Qalandars Showed huge improvement this season and ended up at 3rd position . Big blow for Lahore Qalandars before the Semi Final is that Chris Lynn and David Wiese have gone back to their homeland due to flight suspension issues . Chris lynn and David Wiese provided alot of stability to Lahore Qalandar's lineup .

Last time these two teams faced each other at Gaddafi Stadium , Lahore Qalandars came out victorious . Karachi Kings might go with the same team that they played against Islamabad United . Whereas Lahore Qalandars will make atleast two changes , Abid Ali might be seen playing as a replacement of Chris Lynn and Agha Salman as a replacement of David Wiese .

Predictions : I think Multan Sultans can win the first Semi Final and Karachi Kings vs Lahore Qalandars will be a very exciting encounter but on paper Karachi Kings look really strong so they can win the second Semi Final if they perform better on the day .
