On Monday , Srilanka defeated World T20 #1 Team Pakistan by a huge margin of 35 Runs. Srilanka won both T20's that have taken place and as a result they have managed to win this series. Before this series Most of the Srilankan 'A' team players opted out of the series due to security concerns. This series was a decisive one for the careers of Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal but it didnt proved to be much benficial for them . Pakistan team's think thank has to go through the process of evaluating the flaws . Putting all the blame on Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad is not the solution . They were given a chance and they failed but the moment of concern is other players who are in the team from last two years , still they are not delivering when required . Pakistan Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is continuing his streak of bad performances . How can you expect from a team to perform until its openers and the skipper himself is not performing. No one apart from Babar Azam has been consistent in delivering match winning performances. Pakistan allrounder's department is looking a mess too . Shadab Khan hasn't delivered a match winning performance since 3rd T20 against Australia back in 2018 . Asif Ali has been selected for the role of hard hitter , but so far he has not been effective at international level. Imad Wasim is continously managing to deliver good performances but he gets to bat so lower in the order , he can be highly effective if he is promoted a bit up in the order . Such a Dissappointing way to start the preparations for World T20 Cup 2020 . Their is still time to overcome the issues being faced as still Pakistan has few T20 Series scheduled before the mega event 'T20 World Cup' but any more delay in getting the right combination can cause Pakistan team heavily in future.
